Talking!

Breaking through! Wes is doing really well with trying to talk now.

Somethings we "talked" about while rocking to sleep.

Mom: Wes, do you want to go to the beach?
Wes: Shovel? Sand? Jump. Waves.
Mom: Yes, and we can bring our towels and sit down for a snack.
Wes: Juice? Grapes?
Mom: Yes

Mom: Do you remember going through the car wash yesterday?
Wes: Through? In? Water. Wind. Loud. Owen?
Mom: Yes, it was loud and Owen was with us.
Wes: Out. Tunnel.
Mom: Yes!

I just wanted to keep talking but I knew he was really tired. Because Owen basically came out of the womb having a conversation, I am not used to the thrill of really seeing how language develops. He just seems so excited to be able to convey what he is thinking. He seems so proud of himself and that makes me feel great!
